How to Make Money Online Fast

What is the Best Way to Make Money Online FAST?

I have been around long enough to know that many of the people who are attracted to Making Money Online are expecting the process to be two things: FAST and EASY. And it will not take you long to find someone on the internet that is perfectly willing to sell you a method for producing an income online that is FAST and EASY.

There are two proven methods of expediting this process. Two ways of achieving financial success online without having to” wait in line”. And I will not keep you in suspense, here they are: SPEND MONEY and BREAK THE RULES.

Before I get into these “tried and true” methods of getting to where you want to be, the fastest way possible, I’m going to share a warning with you. There is NO SHORTCUT to building a sustainable income online and I am perfectly willing to tell you why. You need to learn the Ins and Outs, the Zig and the Zags or you will not succeed long term.

If you do not understand how the internet works or how Affilaite Marketing works, you are guaranteed to make fatal mistakes along the way that will prevent you from building wealth. And yes, this is the first time I have used the term “building wealth”, ultimately as Newbies we need to remain grounded, but ultimately we will be targeting wealth.

Let’s take a look at some of the potential shortcuts that will tempt you:

Spending Money – Don’t misunderstand me here, I spend money all the time on my websites. In fact, I just spent money today on a new website logo, unfortunately I’m not the greatest at graphic arts. So I am not suggesting that you are not going to need to spend money along the way. But the trick I hope to teach you is “spend your money wisely”.

My Number One Recommendation “Wealthy Affiliate” costs money and the Starter Websites I offer on this website cost money. And I cannot think of a better way to spend your money, Seriously.

So I am not suggesting that you should not pay to have work completed for you, honestly there is only so much time in a day, so if you want to pay to get things done, by all means, do so….. I DO. Just remember to spend money wisely.

However, I do recommend that you learn what went into creating a website and try your best to create a website on your own before you pay to get one made for you. I would make three or four websites, before you choose to buy one. But that’s just me, I can certainly understand if website building is not your strong suit, then you need to do what’s best for you.

If writing is not your thing then at some point you may be willing to pay to have content written for you. But once again, I highly recommend that you spend a year or two creating your own content, first. I will tell you, many, many times throughout this website that content creation is likely going to be the more challenging part of getting your business off the ground.

So I will not fault anyone who chooses to find an easier way around this task, no way, no how. Creating content is a time-consuming chore and the majority of us suffered through the early stages of learning how to do it. But we must all keep our eyes on the prize and work our way through the struggles. Hey, if where easy, everyone would be doing it.

Buying an Existing Business – Is if Profitable?

If you are going to try to expedite the process, you are looking to shortcut two inevitable time consumers, creating content and getting noticed by Google. One real quick way to do this? Buy an established Business.

People are selling their online businesses all the time, but as we have mentioned in other articles you will likely have a 2-year return on your investment.

Finding websites for sale is not difficult. One of the more popular sites to Buy and Sell websites is Flippa.com.

So as I jump on over to Flippa.com right now, I found a quaint little website with the following:

  • Income Sources: ClickBank, Drop Ship, Ad Sales and Amazon
  • Estimated Monthly Traffic: 45,000 Unique Visitors
  • Estimated Monthly Profit: $240.00
  • Buy It Now Price: $1,455.00

Now don’t get too excited. BTW, the reason I did not identify the site by name? It will be long gone by the time you read this.

On the surface this may look like one hell of an investment. If you were to pay $1,455.00 for this site and it truly brings in a profit of $240 per month, then you will make your money back in just 6 months. WOW, that’s all I can say is wow.

The first red flag here for me is that any worthy website owner will have an asking price of 1.5x to 3x the monthly revenue.

That is to say that if your website is making $100 per month, you could expect anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 if you were to sell that website. The difference between the 1.5K and 3K might be website age, income history length or growth.

So why is this site being sold so cheaply? Good question, let’s examine… The first thing I notice is that the owner is claiming to get 45,000 unique visitors per month but provides no evidence of the traffic. Additionally, with a few quick checks using SEO tools I have available to me, I can find no evidence of Organic traffic. Major Newbie Information in that sentence.

As always we like to take a break whenever a Major Newbie News Alert appears. Several of the terms used in the sentence above are likely advanced for some of us, so let’s take a quick moment to define them.

Unique Visitors – Nothing unusual here, it’s just that search engines separate unique visitor from return visitors.

SEO tools – There are man, many tools available to help you with SEO. We talk about them HERE.

Organic Traffic – This one is IMPORTANT, Traffic that you have earned with the quality and authority of your own website is referred to as “organic”. Organic traffic is free traffic, so it is much preferred over the pay version of traffic.

Let’s not forget the subject of organic traffic, it will be one of the more valuable topics we will discuss. In fact, traffic in general will be the subject of more than a few posts, but the subject of this post is “short cutting the process”.

Break the rules – So as we mentioned, there are two primary ways to create a business, start earning money and develop that income into a profit and ultimately a full time living. Neither of these options are the preferred method and quite frankly, I do not advocate either, however spending money is very effective when done right. However, “Breaking the rules” will get you in trouble quickly.

There are a few rules involved with starting this type of business and I recommend you follow them closely:

Copying other peoples work – It may be tempting to expedite the content creation process by duplicating work.

Do Not Do It!

First and foremost, it’s just plain wrong. I can tell you with 100% certainty that after hours of plucking away at this keyboard the last thing I need is for someone to take 30 seconds to copy and paste my work. Duplicating content is a surefire way to get blacklisted by Google and it may take years to recover.

Duplicating content is so frowned upon by Google, that you cannot even duplicate your own work. Do not copy your own work and place it elsewhere on the internet, Google will consider it duplicate content and you will be penalized.

Keyword Stuffing – Google caught onto this little trick fast. So if my keyword is “stethoscope” and I use the word 300 times in an article, then Google is bound to rank me number one, right…. WRONG.

Let’s introduce another set of Industry terms: White Hat, Gray Hat and Black Hat SEO methods.

These terms distinguish the ethical methods of optimizing your Search Engine presence from the unethical methods of promoting your business. Just like in the Western Movies, The Black Hats are the bad guys and the White Hats are the good guys, with the Gray Hats somewhere in the middle.

Black Hat methods of SEO can range anywhere from “keyword stuffing” to creating automated Google queries. Methods that might get you ranked quick, but violate Google’s terms of service. These methods may result in a quick boost in traffic, but will ultimately;y hurt your business and should be avoided at all costs.
